Fuel Programs
Volume Discount
Douglass
Distributing offers two different
types of pricing for our customers who have high volume projects from time to
time. For those who can’t commit to volumes we can place either in a rebate
program or a post purchase program.
The rebate program works
like this: the customer projects a volume and discounts are based on the
estimate given. If the volume is met during the quarter, a rebate check is
sent. The rebate can also be tiered – the higher the volume the greater the
discount.
We offer the Post Purchase
Program for those who don’t want to deal with the hassle of rebates.
Douglass Distributing will handle it for
you. We will take your earned rebate from one quarter and apply it to the price
of gallons purchased in the following quarter.
Fixed Price
This lets the customer set
a consistent price on a ratable amount for a period of up to 18 months. Once
the price is established it stays the same for the entire desired time period –
regardless of the market price moving up or down. Customers who are looking to
fix fuel costs where the fuel is a significant portion of the budgeted expense
would want to look into this type of program.
Ceiling Program
The Ceiling Program lets
customers have a cap on the price of a specific amount over a certain time
period. The price for this program is slightly higher, but the advantage is in
the customer’s corner if there are any market decreases. The costs are dictated
by how high the cap is compared to the current market price.
Collar Program
This program establishes a
price for a customer that fluctuates between and established but never above the
“ceiling” or below the “floor” price. The cost is based on how wide the
customer wants the collar. The wider the collar, the less it will be to
implement.

Distributing does have the
flexibility to combine come of the standard program. Every customer gets
individual attention and if you feel none of the fore mentioned programs would
fit your needs – we will be happy to find one that will.
